The Lonely Skein was created by me, Jessica, with my husband Blake and my sister Rose. I have been an avid knitter for over 20 years. In that time I’ve moved a lot, and none of the towns I lived in had a yarn store. After moving to Corvallis in 2021, I met so many knitters and fiber artists that it became clear that a yarn store would be well supported by the community. With some wonderful support from our aunt we were able to open the shop in December 2025.
